There are 3 types of business registrations in Sri Lanka. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ව්‍යාපාරික ලියාපදිංචි කිරීම් වර්ග 3 ක් ඇත.
1. Sole-proprietorship/තනි පුද්ගල ව්‍යාපාර
2. Partnership/හවුල් ව්‍යාපාර
3. Private Limited Liability Company/ සීමා සහිත පුද්ගලික සමාගම්
Sole-proprietorship & Partnership
Visit the relevant Divisional Secretary’s Office based on your address. They will guide to complete the registration. In this connection, you do not need assistance of the professional firm as registering a sole-proprietorship and partnership are very simple.
ඔබගේ ලිපිනය අදාළ ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් කාර්යාලය යන්න. ලියාපදිංචිය සම්පූර්ණ කිරීමට ඔවුන් මග පෙන්වනු ඇත. මෙම ලියාපදිංචි කිරීම් ඉතා සරල බැවින් ඔබට වෘත්තීය ආයතනයක සහාය අවශ්‍ය නොවේ.

A private limited company is a legal entity that is separate from the owners.
පුද්ගලික සීමිත සමාගමක් යනු අයිතිකරුවන්ගෙන් වෙන් වූ නෛතික ආයතනයකි.
The main advantages of registering your business as a private limited liability company is a limited liability. That means it becomes legal person. In case of bankruptcy and other obligations, the “company” is liable. Not the owners of the company.
